The trend of adding Emergen-C vitamin C packets to alcohol began with a photo on Twitter. But, apparently, alcohol isn’t healthy even with vitamin C added to it. Who would’ve guessed?

Marilyn Starkloff shared the original “quarantini” with her Twitter followers and people seemed to love it! Well, everyone except Emergen-C and Aviation Gin, the two brands featured in the picture.

Emergen-C responded to the Tweet saying, “We do not recommend taking any of our products with alcohol.”

Aviation Gin quickly responded as well, saying:

“While everyone should take precaution during these times we do not recommend having a ‘Quarantini’ or any alcohol if you’re feeling under the weather.

If you’re feeling fine and of legal drinking age, a little extra Vitamin C consumption doesn’t hurt.”

Despite their warnings, people continued to enjoy their quarantinis, toasting the original poster with virtual toasts.

The quarantini trend soon left Twitter and spread to Instagram, where people shared photos of their own “quarantini” concoctions.
