If you’re vegan, you probably know that Oreos are vegan. They’re one of those “accidental” vegan foods that we’re blessed to have. But even tastier than plain Oreos are air-fried Oreos. People are replicating deep-fried Oreos using their air fryers and the results look delicious.

There are a number of reasons why you may want to use an air fryer over a deep fryer. In this instance, it saves time, cuts back on the number of calories from the oil, and is less messy. The less messy part is key here!

People on TikTok started sharing the hack of making the deep-fried Oreos in an air fryer and it’s honestly hard to tell a difference between the original deep-fried Oreos and the air-fried Oreos.

To make them, start with a sheet of Pillsbury crescent-roll dough (don’t worry, it’s vegan).

Place one Oreo on the triangle-shaped section of the dough and roll/wrap it until it’s covered in dough.

Once that’s been done to all of the Oreos, place them in a light-sprayed air fryer at 325F-350F. Cook them for 5-7 minutes.

Once they’re cooked and the dough is golden and flaky, take all the Oreos out of the fryer and coat them with your favorite vegan toppings.

Some people chose to use powdered sugar, whipped cream, berry sauce, or anything else your heart desires.

It’s so easy and bomb.

(note: Not all of the examples below are vegan – some are using non-vegan dough or non-vegan toppings. But the heart of the recipe is there and can serve as inspiration for your vegan version!)
